Adikbongsu, you just wouldn't believe it! Before checking your msg. I thought I really must email you, just to see how things are... you beat me to it! Tabarak'Allah, how sweet. I miss you too.. and wish you were on this side! Hope all is well with you, insha'Allah.
I just sent you an email. The bookmarks were returned to us, I spelled one thing wrong :P Do you think we still have time to send them to you now? I thought the event was gonna be earlier than June 28..or maybe I just misremembered :)
subhanAllah sister Farhana, I saw the button for this post on your webpage... and I just sent a package to Brother Dawd a month ago. Now that I see your name I remember seeing it in the email lists! SubhanAllah isnt it interesting how Allah ties us all together. I havent been too active in the emails because it seemed as though I was the only one in the US and the others are in London. But I tried to do something over here collected money from some sisters. MY hubby is cool with the brother who owns the dar us salam bookstore here in NY and so he gave us a good discount on maybe 3-4 dozen books, i sent probably 50 hijabs, 4 lbs of dates, 2 dozen kufis, 2 dozen miswaks, 100+ dawah pamphets and CDs on Salah- all in spanish. When brother Dawd told me he got the package and him and some brothers started crying when they saw the dates, I broke down too. I was like we take dates for granted and some of them never even saw one before!! SubhanAllah it felt so good to be active and not just preaching how we should help our brothers and sisters out. I hope inshaAllah to do something else for them again and hopefully your community can do something as well! Although now I think he really just needs financial help.

Subhan'Allah, I love it when things like this happen :) Yes, it's interesting and lovely when Allah brings things together like this. Nice to see someone from the States on the email list, yes.. majority are in the UK.
Tabarak'Allah, the things you sent are wonderful! May I add your list to our list?? Insha'Allah it will give others ideas on what else they can send. Is the bookstore you purchased your items from have a website??

Yes.. I think financial help is priority now, so maybe the Fair will help with that, insha'Allah.
