Your blog didn't accept my comment yesterday regarding the granola post... too bad. It went something like this ...
    *crunch* *crunch* *crunch* --delicious! :)

Onto your next post, random facts.
Favourite beverage, tea... beverage vs. drug..who knows ;)

Wishing for artistic talent, eh? I'll refrain from commenting since I'm sure you can figure out what I'd have to say. As for the fries.. hey, we can do something about that, insha'Allah! :)

  5. Wa'alaykum as-salaam wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu dear brother and sisters,

Jazakum Allahu khair for the comments.

Yusuf, haha..I picked up the book because I really wanted to read it before checking the movie.. and see how it compares. A lot of books for children have lovely stories, and this is one of them. (Now I have to get the movie!) Thank you for the link on The Book of Negroes. I've probably read approx 20 novels after that review and it's still my favourite.. so go read it!

Farzeen! Sorry the GrrNola didn't accept your comment - maybe it's offended at the amout you eat..haha :D See.. another plus for tea! One day you are going to regret living so many years without enjoying it.. hehe

Umm Omar, AlhumduliLlah the competition went well. It was really nice to see their work, and I just hope they continue to build on their artistic talent.

Perplxin Texan, welcome to my blog! Haha.. I like that.. yes a book written to please kids. Have you watched the movie yet? What did you think of it?

    Take care everyone,
    Love Farhana

  9. Wa'alaykum as-salaam wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my dearest sisters,

Miss Ash... welcome to my world :D thank you for the visit. Haha.. unfortunately 'Banana' has followed me for most of my life. Oh yes.. the art comp was fun! I like looking at other peoples work, so I thoroughly enjoyed that part.

Hajar! How creepy.. just yesterday I thought I must tell you about the book I'm reading. "The Gift of Rain" by Tan Twan Eng. I'm only half way through, but like it so far, and it takes place in Malaysia.. just reading it makes me with I was there. Check it out if you have time. Ha! Oh no..the way my 'mosque pic' is coming out, I'm reminded of how much practice I need.. urgh :(

Heya' Umm Nassim.. look time since I've seen you! Hope all is well at your end. Haha.. a book swap huh.. I was thinking about a posting a new swap.. maybe I can incoporate a book in :D I will try to get one up this week.. so keep checking.

  11. As-salaamu'alaykum ya Hajar!

Frugality.. trust me, I know all about that.. I'm married to my library card, how's that :D

I'm glad you got the book on your list. I'm not sure you'll like that it's got a lot on Aikido (which I love!) .. but it's still a well written book.

Haha.. it sure is a calling! Don't be surprised if I show up.. I really would like to see your world.

Oh.. my 'masterpiece' is pretty much complete.. I'll post a pic for you soon.

    Take care
    Lots of Love
