As-salaamu'alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu
....but how often do we even try? We've been blessed with SO much - just you reading this is a blessing. Please, please think of those that aren't able to do that, not because they can't read.. but because they can't see!!! Subha'Allah, sight is such a tremendous gift, not to be taken for granted nor should we think we 'deserve' it.
An organization in Malaysia gives a little hope to both adults and children in their area, in Gaza and in Nigeria by providing Qur'ans, Yasins and Muqaddams in braille.
What is braille? it's a series of raised dots that can be read with the fingers by people who are blind.
Insha'Allah YOU and I are going to help too, right?
Each Quran costs $78 Canadian dollars (RM240) to produce, whilst the Muqaddam and Surah Yasin cost $4 (RM12) each.
The steep cost is due to the smooth high quality paper used, to enable the blind to read accurately with their fingers.
I've just been notified that there is a pressing need for braille Qur'ans (at least 30 of them) so insha'Allah I am raising our goals.
