As-salaamu'alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu

With the Chocolate Chip Bath Cookies I gave my sister for Eid, I add this as well... a chocolate chip hijab pin. I think it turned out rather cute, and now that I know it works (and people will wear it.. hehe) I hope to make more interestings ones, insha'Allah. She really liked it :) *alhumduliLlah*

The chocolate chip at the top of the pin and both cookies are made out of polymer clay. I also found a book (ie. online, I have not purchased it *yet*) that looks like it might great for a project like this:

What do you think?... edible looking hijab pins
Would you wear something like this?

That's the cutest thing ever. You should do pins with little strawberries, mini popsicles, cupcakes, candies, swirly lollipops, etc.. I'd totally wear these pins too. It's such a nice change from all the flowers and more flowers that adorn Muslimah accessories. Not that flowers are ugly, but ya know... *everything* has flowers. -_- Zz Z z Cookies are way cooler.

Well there you go chiquita.. you have a market.. get working *ahem*. Ignore me :). These are really quite something though. They are certainly one of a kind... so what would you call them? "Yummy Hijab Pins"..hehe.

Masha'Allah your creativity never ceases to amaze me :). It looks great.. quite delicious. :D.. those bath cookies mess up with the psyche though..but I guess I should post this comment one below. Ah well, forgive me :).

I don't know if these pins will fall under the "unattractive"

You know how brothers get with food. If they picture food on your scarf, lol they might be really attacking :)

(just kidding, in my non sense of humor)

(and ahh! totally need to start a website to sell chocolate chip hijab pins)

Wa'alaykum as-salaam wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my dear sisters,

Jazak'Allah everyone for all the feedback and wonderful comments.. very much appreciated.

b. thank you for dropping by, always nice to hear from you.

um mahtab, what great suggestions! I had thought cupcakes and swirly lollipops.. oooh, but strawberries and popsicles, wondeful! And I agree with the 'flower' thing :)

Farzeen, I'm scared marketing stuff will take the 'fun' away from making stuff.. especially if you have to mass produce.. and once things become a business, you tend not to put your heart into what you make..so quality/neatness go down the drain. But I am open to selling what people see online (ie. what I post).

haha Organic Muslimah.. very funny!! I suppose I shouldn't make any hijab pins that resemble a chicken leg or a slab of steak..hehe

As-salaamu'alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my dear sister Khadija,

Jazak'Allah for the comment and for dropping by. It's always wonderful to hear from others.

Masha'Allah, there are so many creative sisters out there.. a lot of them aren't even aware of it.. hence one of the reasons for starting this blog.. to get sisters to try different things, so I am very happy to hear it is inspirational.

Hey Rachel, nice to hear from you again :)

Thank you for the comments. Yuppers, I have yet to find a person who doesn't like/love chocolate chip cookies.

Take care,

Love how the one cookie's bitten. Such a creative idea--all other hijab pins I've seen are basically glitter.

I would totally wear that. Just not during Ramadan... ;)
