Socks to Warm The Streets
Thursday, March 25, 2010
As-salaamu'alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuh

I think this will probably be my last post, and last project here.

There wasn’t much help for this project, Warm The Streets…. despite that we managed to collect/receive 136 pairs of socks.

This was a very important project for me to fulfill because the recipients had asked for socks, and when someone who doesn’t have something as simple as socks and asks for it the least I can do is try and get it to them.

Thank you to those that helped out, your efforts are very much appreciated. The socks have officially been delivered. Yaay!

As Salaamu Alaikum Dear:

Please don't stop posting, and don't stop the projects!

Allah swt will reward you greatly, and the people are thankful I am sure.

Sometimes people don't check the blogs or are busy, etc. They are still interested in your projects.

I suggest you do exactly what you did to get me here this time: send the contacts a personal email directing them to your blog!

Much love to you hon,
Safiyyah

Assalaamu Alaykum dear Farhana,

NO! You can't stop! You've been so quiet I'd assumed you had been busy. But I didn't expect to read this my sis. May Allah reward you immensely for all that you do. Every little counts. I think you have done splendidly. You know I always have a posty issue (I don't even have a postal address where I am!!!) and other people have other reasons for not participating BUT I think that with the Blogosphere being as big as it is, sometimes we lose track of projects. I know when there are a few follow up posts about a project, it reminds me about it. So just a suggestion to my dear sister, that perhaps you can follow up on the project on your blog as a reminder for everyone to chip in in sha Allah? You must me terribly busy and of course you must only do what is within your scope. May Allah bless your efforts and reward you in this life and the hereafter.
Uhibbuki fillah!!!

Assalamu Alaikum,

MashaAllah. I really wanted to participate in this one, but didn't learn how to make socks in time, I didn't know we could donate store bought ones? I really do hope that this is not your last post or project! I was really looking forward to what was coming up next :) May Allah (swt) give you the tawfeeq to continue to blog and do projects!! But I totally understand if you are not able to, I know how things can get busy! I will miss you, do keep in touch! <3
